Sunday Post

Sometimes you are unsatisfied with your life, while many people are dreaming of living your life.      A child on a farm sees a plane flying over his head and dreams of flying (I do that all the time). But a pilot in the plane sees the farm house and dream of returning home. That's life! enjoy yours .      If wealth is the secret to happiness then the rich should be dancing on the streets but only poor kids do that. If power ensures security, then officials should walk unguarded.  But those who live simply, sleep soundly.      If beauty and fame brings ideal relationships, then celebrities should have the best marriages. But those who live simply, walk humbly and love genuinely!  All good will come back to you !                                 ...

Memories

What’s the most memorable part of your life, and why?       Mine is growing up, being a little girl without fears, cares or worries.  The only thing you think about is play, eat and sleep... Watch films occasionally and read.    You don't have hormones flowing through your veins, or dreams that may never see the light of day.  You don't get to know what heartbreak feels like or experience emotional pain. You don't get to think "where exactly am I heading with my life?"     Lying awake in bed sometimes make me think about all the mistakes I’ve ever made. I’m not the only one that late nights have affected like this. Then I think about good memories and how they’ve all impacted people (This is my way of drawing my thoughts away from the sadness that plagues late nights alone in bed.)      Their are different kinds of memories beyond just good and...

Afro

Afro sat under a big boabab tree reading a book, her grandmother named her Afro because of her big frizzy, kinky hair, she said it was uncommon for African women to have such amount of hair on one head unless of course it was borrowed. But her father named her Kelechi    She scribed some phrases and word in her notepad as she read. At the far end of the compound sat two kids in the wet sand building castles with their feet. The older one soon start to bully the little one and a fight ensued between them. Afro paid no attention, boys will always be boys, fight, push, punch but in the end their children nature will give in and they will forgive each other and continue the play.       The children didn't stop the fight and the little one ran towards her holding a small wooden shovel in hand while the older ran after demanding for the shovel.            She focused on...

Weekend Post

Is it me or have you also notice the rise in temperature of late? The heat is so excessive, it's much, in fact enormous. This makes me wonder, if we in the west are feeling this much heat what about those in the northern part of Nigeria; those in Taraba, Adamawa, Sokoto, (including my people in Niger) and the others.      Please endeavor to drink sufficient water, if possible always go around with a bottle of water in hand. Take less of carbonated drinks and more of water.     Keep you windows open for proper ventilation, periods like this usher in meningitis, chickenpox and the likes.     Use sunshade not necessarily for the sun but to prevent the sand debris the hot breeze blows from getting in to your eyes leading to some nasty irritations.     Avoid clothing that conduct heat.  Please box that leather jacket till December.  Wear more of cotton materials. Wear loose clothing. Leave...

backstage: when reality set in

Walking down the aisle was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Beautiful inside-out, humble, respectful, great sense of humor, wonderful conversationist and an amazing cook.     Words could not describe the joy that was stirred up within me. Finally, the day has come and she's all mine. Mine for ever.    she looked at me with sparkling eyes, joy radiating from her beaming face...and this  'I chose you' sort of look on her face.                         "... In sickness and in health..."                                "...till death do us part..." Those vows mehn are terrible, they haunt us no matter what. Test our commitment and will to hold firm to this truth ...
