Story Tellers

Everybody is a storyteller, our own little space of imagination and fantasy carved out of formless figures are the stories we tell. We imagine images that aren't real, people that never exist and never will.     We build high hopes of a perfect world we may never have. Of streets tarred in gold and walls glittering as diamonds, of castles built with precious stones and ornamentals whose smell adds rich fragrance to the environment.    We imagine worlds unknown, heights unreached, we form stories that have never been told or heard, we see visions only us can understand. We dream of times when we will be at peace, a complete absence of pain, sorrow and unnecessary killings.    A place that houses us, and us alone. We and our Lala fantasies can there ever be an end to them?                           ...

Monday Vitamin

It's another week,  another opportunity to try harder and do better.  Another reason to hope and believe that we are very close to the peak.     Do well this week;  smile at someone,  give a firm handshake.  Help someone today in anyway you can. Encourage  yourself and encourage someone.  Be kind to someone,  tolerate the excesses of others.      Work with passion,  give your job more commitment and diligence. Appreciate the little things; the weather,  oxygen,  the sun(however hot it maybe). Be joyful this week.     Read that book this week,  or finish that book and pick a new one. St art that project and give it your all.  Reach out to that person this week ask about their well-being.  Show so much love this week.  You never know whose life you might change,  save, influence or better still impact.      ...

Weekend Post

You owe no one an apology for saying the truth, expressing your opinion on a particular issue. Screaming to the high heavens your displeasure. You owe no one an apology for being yourself.   Most times people try to make us feel bad about ourselves when we express US. They expect us to be fashioned in a sort of way;  speak this way and say these words; Sit this way and look that way. This should not be.      If anyone cross a boundary with you never be afraid to say it,  point it to them,  shout it, express your feelings and vexation. If it offends them, well!  Too bad... They will not forget easily where the boundary mark is. But one thing you must never do is apologize for who you are !      Whether you are a man,  or a woman wear your true colour like a crown.    Flaunt it to the world, let them know this is who you are and this is what you stand, forbid and abide by. In all my yea...

TIME MACHINE

Sitting alone in a quiet solitude moment, staring at nothing in particular but remembering quite a lot, forming images, tiny, a little  big and in some cases big pictures of the past. Of words said in haste, anger and error. Words too powerful to take back,   Of actions performed out of love, kindness, and compassion but taken with levity, trampled on and not appreciated. Of times of inaction, drawn between the choice of saying a NO or a YES and never actually coming to a conclusion till the opportunity pass. Of diverse timely moments of great discovery but its manifestation crippled by fear, fear of the future, fear of a formless shade lurking in the dark  waiting for our weak moments to consume us and make us into its captives. Of moments we experienced freedom, freedom to be whoever and whatever to see the world at a glimpse. Of times we loved genuinely, felt the heartbeat of the one more closely drawn than a brother. Who brought out an us...

Long way home

Yes I've been away for awhile and am sincerely sorry for my absence. Balancing academics with blogging isn't quite as simple as I thought but am back now for at least the next few months.     My absence seemed like a voyage,  a woman at sea far away from family and friends.  Surrounded by an endless mass of water with a thirst and longing for home.  For the comfort of her warm bed, the feel of the sand on a hot summer afternoon or the cold but harsh Northeast  wind in the Harmattan.        Far from home,  many miles away,  without a clear message of the safety of her clan but a hope and assurance from her God that all was well. Well am back from my voyage and am pleased to have met all well, and I have you and my God to thank for that.        So I pray for more inspiration and better reviews as I fire up my wheels and billow of writing to bring to you e...
